The path to getting everything you want starts with getting one thing at a time.

But there are so many things that we want in our lives, and when we view all the things that we need to do, it can be overwhelming. However, when we start living The ONE Thing, we learn to view that overwhelming list of things to do as dominos, line them up, and knock the first one over. The secret to living The ONE Thing is to think big, go small, and trust that the dominos will fall.

Matt Plumer has an amazing story that will show you how simple it can be. At one point in his life, he found himself weighing 300 pounds with a drinking problem, a gambling problem, a smoking problem, and a marriage was on the brink of collapse. Today, he has lost over 100 pounds, gotten ahold of his addictions, paid off $500,000 worth of debt, and reinvigorated his relationship. I want you to imagine an iceberg. If you’re like most people, you probably imagine this big piece of ice coming out of the sea, but that’s just the tip. What we know is that the tip is just the minority or the iceberg — the majority lies beneath the surface.

What most people focus on in their life is productivity: The actions they take and the results that they get.
